E-bike Assembly

Assembly Complete

Though most e-bike products are fine , many are not. When buying online, research the brand and be sure the frame is aluminum. Also be sure there are spare parts for repairs and warranty work. Not all e bikes work perfectly out of the box. Be aware of some companies that have imported a bunch of bikes that they can’t support

2. Front hubs are always poorly adjusted

In our experience, most bikes, even regular bikes have poorly adjusted front hubs. This can lead to a needed wheel replacement within a short period of time. Best to have it properly adjusted before riding your new bike.

3. Wheel truing is far from perfect

Most bikes are partially assembled by robotic equipment which gauges torque settings. Most bikes require a human eye for truing wheels. A wheel not properly trued can cause wobble and may eventually start breaking spokes. It’s best to have a close to perfect wheel true in the first place.

 4. Brakes can be a problem

No bike ever comes with the brakes adjusted properly. Dragging brakes affect performance, and with e bikes, range too. Disc brakes are finicky to adjust. Have a pro do it so you don’t cut off you finger tips.

5. Shifting issues

All bikes need the gears dialed in.  There is more going on than you think. We’ll take care of it.

6. Recycling your packaging

All bikes are shipped with cardboard, foam and paper. E-bikes have way more than normal. We recycle these materials for you.
